Footrests Overview
Footrests help to relieve weight from your lower back and assist in improving your working posture. Footrests can also relieve pressure from the thighs, allowing for better circulation helping to prevent oedema and deep vein thrombosis. There are two critical things to look for in a good footrest, these are:
Durability - Because pressure is applied on a footrest all day everyday, it has to stand up to being banged around and pushed on. For this reason, the materials used to make the footrest should be sturdy and the less plastic involved the better.
Adjustability - Because people come in all shapes and sizes, it is important that a footrest is highly adjustable to suit a users personal preferences. Ideally the height and slope of the footrest can be adjusted at both the front and rear of the footrest.
Fluteline footrests are made in New Zealand from metal frames with ribbed commercial grade carpet tiles on tread surfaces. They have a fail-proof metal screw adjustment system and their 5 year warranty is testament that these footrests are built to last. All models are height and slope adjustable on all four legs, resulting in a large range of possible height/slope combinations and the real carpet tread feels great underfoot. All Fluteline footrests come flat-packed for easy shipping and storage.
